Greek / 1978
George graduated from Alpine Center in Switzerland in 1998 when he successfully gained his Certificate in Culinary Art. He also holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Le Monde. He has worked in many renowned restaurants and hotel restaurants in Greece and Cyprus and has become an expert in Mediterranean Cuisine and fish cookery. In addition, he has gained experience as a hotel and restaurant consultant. Given that this is the first time that George develops his impeccable culinary skills on board a luxury yacht, guests will have a memorable and exclusive dining experience.

Maria has more than two decades of yachting experience as she worked for numerous yachts of the same owner for eleven years and on two other motor yachts for nine years. She is a very caring, dedicated and loyal member of the crew of Gitana who will ensure that every guests’ need is met during their stay on the yacht.

Greek-Canadian | 1971
Vaggelis has been a graduate of a Greek High School in Montreal, Canada since 1990 when he decided to study Food and Beverage Management in Lasalle College HTM. Since completing his studies in 1995 he has worked on various job positions in both Greece and Canada such as head waiter in restaurants and operation manager in travel agencies. Vaggelis also owned and managed a cafe in Athens. He has attended multiple seminars on tourism, hospitality and sales. This year he brings his excellent interpersonal and communication skills on board a luxury yacht for the first time making the guests feel comfortable throughout their stay.

Filipino | 1979
Bong graduated from the Philippines Maritime Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation in 1999. He is married with a child and has served on various luxury motor yachts throughout the Mediterranean Sea since 2008. Bong's skills and hard work along with his pleasant character make him a unique member of the crew on s/y Gitana.

Tassos holds Master Class B’ Diploma and he also holds necessary Safety and First Aid Certificates. He has been working at sea since 1992 on Passenger Ships, Cargo Vessels and motor yachts.
