First MateSail and Work Experience
Michael is a seasoned sailor with extensive experience in both sailing and motor yachts. He has most recently worked aboard the 65m classic S/Y ATLANTIC as Lead Deckhand during the Mediterranean charter season and classic regattas. Prior to that, he served as First Mate on the 35m M/Y KAYCEE, where he was also responsible for engineering duties. He captained his own 12m yacht, SV CALICOBA, on a multi-year voyage from France to Australia, managing over 40 crew along the way. His background also includes chase boat captain and fishing guide roles on M/Y MERCIELAGO. Michael brings a robust skill set in sailing, mechanics, electrics, shipwright work, and crew leadership.

Michael supports the captain in the operation and navigation of the yacht, overseeing deck operations, safety procedures, and maintenance tasks. He coordinates sailing maneuvers, leads the deck crew, and ensures all systems are operating efficiently. Amarja Koers
Chief StewardessSail and Work Experience
Amarja is an accomplished Chief Stewardess and Purser with extensive experience on yachts ranging from 45M to 67M. She has led the interior teams on prestigious vessels including M/Y MARIA (67M AMELS), S/Y ATHOS (64M schooner), and M/Y LARS (47M explorer yacht). Her roles have encompassed running busy dual-season programs, new owner setups post-refit, and regatta participation such as the St. Barth’s Bucket. She has strong event planning capabilities, proven during multiple high-end guest trips featuring live entertainment and private instructors. Amarja’s earlier yachting career also includes charter experience on S/Y RHEA and S/Y CHRONOS, where she structured interior service protocols and trained junior stews.

Amarja is responsible for the full management of the interior department, including housekeeping, laundry, guest service, and event execution. She creates and maintains inventories, budgets, work schedules, and planned maintenance programs. Pim's expertise in engineering, combined with his love for cycling, swimming, and sailing, are a reflection of his active lifestyle. As a dedicated and generous team player, Pim is an important member of Atlantic’s crew.
Job Description
Pim is responsible for all the machinery onboard, including all control, maintenance and repair systems. He manages all working engines, the generator and any electronics systems, as well as the plumbing and hydraulic system. He also regularly assists the Captain in their duties, which includes navigation watch, radar control and transatlantic communication.

Josselin Gaudin
BosunSail and Work Experience
Josselin is a highly experienced sailor with a strong background in classic and luxury sailing yachts. He has served as Bosun aboard ATLANTIC since 2017, where he has been deeply involved in sailing, charter operations, maneuvering, and ongoing deck and rigging maintenance. His earlier roles include Galley/Deckhand on S/Y GERMANIA NOVA, and OOW on two transatlantic deliveries aboard S/Y STATE OF GRACE, where he also handled deck maintenance and boat show preparation. Josselin has also worked briefly as an engineer on M/Y LADY MONA K and held several deckhand roles aboard various yachts and a ferry during his formative years. His experience spans hands-on rigging, varnish and paint work, safety operations, and guest services.

Quinten Stienstra
DeckhandSail and Work Experience
Quinten is a young but experienced sailor. He has completed a transatlantic crossing as a trainee on the schooner NOORDERLICHT and worked for five months as a deckhand aboard the WYLDE SWAN, including one month focused on vessel maintenance. He has additional sailing experience in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, English Channel, Sea of the Hebrides, and Atlantic Ocean. Quinten also has competitive dinghy sailing experience at national and regional levels and has worked as a dinghy sailing instructor. He has performed daywork on motor yachts in St. Maarten and has experience in anchoring, rigging, tender operations, engineering support, and line splicing.

She also gained experience aboard M/Y WEST FIELD (Riva Virtus 63), and has completed a hands-on training course aboard M/Y SEXY FISH.
