Luka is a native of Croatia where he obtained a nautical engineering degree and began his maritime career on fishing boats in the Adriatic sea. In 2009, he decided to pursue his studies in a nautical high school in order to join the yachting industry and work his way to become a Captain. Luka quickly proved himself and his skills by taking on more and more responsibilities aboard private and charter yachts all over the Oceans. He enjoyed being involved in several yard refits and surveys as well as becoming a Jet ski instructor and certified Padi Open water diver.

His last experiences as a Captain include 29m Horizon Yachts TRIPLE888EIGHT, 37m Amels SECRET LOVE, several Feadships as 43m GO, 45m MOON SAND, 46m DOJO, as well as 49m Rossi Navi PARAM JAMUNA.

With over 10 years as a yacht Captain now, Luka brings a wealth of knowledge and experience along with a professional attitude and meticulous eye for detail in his work. He has an extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean sea and knows the Adriatic like the back of his hand. Luka easily offers bespoke itineraries to his charter guests, manage their requirements and share his passion for the ocean with them.

You will be charmed by his positive can-do attitude as well as excellent communication skills, which enabled him to take on the role as Captain aboard VIVALDI early in September 2021, starting with a very successful charter and an instant connection with the crew. The young Croatian Captain speaks fluent English and Croatian along with conversational Spanish and Italian. He is very much looking forward to a successful summer 2022 charter season.
