Marianne Secrest
Chef/MateMarianne was raised with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, which led her to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Forestry, majoring in Natural Resource Management, from the University of British Columbia. Marianne has worked in Ecuador as a biology field technician, and in British Columbia as a Spotted Owl Biologist. She spent years immersed in the Canadian wilderness studying endangered owls and their habitat. When she wasn’t in the woods, she worked as an educator teaching school groups about ecology and biodiversity. More recently, Marianne has been working in the event industry, creating custom carpentry products for clients seeking a personal touch. Marianne is looking forward to sharing her knowledge about the local flora & fauna, as well as preparing her guests delicious meals and beverages.
