BABALU was built by Catana and delivered to her owner in 2019.

BABALU can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins consisting of a VIP suite with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, a primary suite with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, 2 cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and a cabin with a queen size bed .

Amenities on board include Air Conditioning, Light fishing gear, Ice maker, Water maker and Wi-Fi.

Hostess Maria Plamantoura
Maria was born in 1991 and holds a linguistic degree from the University of Athens. She has worked with children as an animator and as a team leader in kids’ campus, but her genuine interest in the Tourism industry has made her to seek for a career in hospitality. Maria has worked as a waitress, as a barista and as a cook’s assistant in various restaurants in Greece and abroad (USA, Australia), which has given her a valuable experience with people from different cultures. In 2017 she joined the yachting industry as a Hostess and in 2022 she became a team member of BABALU. In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music and dancing. Apart from Greek which is her mother tongue she speaks English and French. What makes her to stand out is her positive spirit and her “can do” attitude

Lefteris Fanioudakis

Captain

Captain Lefteris Fanioudakis
Lefteris was born in 1989 in Crete island. Among other certificates he holds the MCA/RYA certificate of Competence Yacht master Ocean for Power & Sailing vessels, Captain’s Medical Care and PADI Dive Master certificate. Lefteris could not think of a life away from the sea, so he was always seeking to combine his job with it. When he was younger he started working as a windsurfing instructor in Crete, then he continued as a skipper on various commercial sailing vessels and since then he has worked both on sailing yachts/catamarans and motor yachts in Greece. During his spare time, if he is not sailing, she likes cycling, travelling, windsurfing, taking photographs and paragliding. Also, he is a volunteer fireman. Apart from Greek he also speaks English. He is always ready to welcome his guests on board to ensure an unforgettable experience and show the most beautiful hotspots of Greek islands!
