Giles Riley

Captain

Giles and Becky have been working together in the yachting industry for over six years on both private super yachts and luxury charter yachts. They both come from the small yachting town of Lymington Hampshire UK. Giles has worked in the yachting industry for over 18 years, ranging from race crew, charter fleet manager and building some of the most successful Grand Prix racing yachts before taking up sailing full time 7 years ago. As well as being a commercially endorsed yachtmaster offshore he has over 110,000 sea miles and 10 transatlantic's, both racing and cruising, under his belt. Giles has gained a great portfolio of cruising knowledge, from the sandy shores of the Bahamas to the rich cultural coasts of the Greek islands, and is always looking for new and exciting places to offer guests a truly bespoke and tailored charter experience.

Giles and Becky love working together as a team and with their relaxed, friendly personalities you are sure to feel welcome on board Magrathea whether it be for an action packed charter of water sports and adventure or a secluded, relaxing holiday of indulgence and luxury.

"We pride ourselves on going that extra mile for our guests, tailoring each trip to meet our guests expectations and exceed them"

Becky started sailing at a very young age and has cruised much of Greece and Turkey as well as the Caribbean. Now a qualified RYA yacht master offshore herself Becky has sailed over 40,000 miles including 3 transatlantic crossings. Becky's philosophy on good food comes from her years working on a local organic farm and her time at Ballymaloe cookery school in Ireland where she spend 3 months training. As well as producing fresh, healthy, well presented exciting meals with a local twist she loves baking cakes and deserts for those with a sweet tooth. With an eye for high standards and detail Becky prides herself on giving guests the memorable experience they deserve.
