Max was born in Miami, FL, and spent his youth on the water between the Treasure Coast and the Florida Keys- diving, spearfishing, and offshore fishing. Max received a Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Biology from FSU and FAU. Right out of college in 2009 he began working on the water- from the USDA doing aquaculture research, to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill tracking offshore crude oil movements. In 2016 after acquiring a USCG 200 ton license and STCW in the offshore construction industry, Max joined the yachting industry. Max spent his first five years as First Mate/Engineer on MY Mambo, a highly successful private/charter yacht based in The Exumas. On Mambo, he completed 2 refits and 32 charters and specialized in fishing, diving, spearfishing, and finding off the beaten path, beaches and sandbars. After Mambo Max has safely delivered numerous boats across the US East Coast, Bahamas, and even The Great Lakes. Outside of work he enjoys offshore fishing for giant pelagics, traveling, and exploring. With his extensive knowledge of the Bahamas and fishing, he is sure to make your stay memorable.
