Svetozar Novkovic

Captain

Svetozar, born 1980 in Serbia, started his sailing career in 2000 as sea cadet on tall ships of the Naval Academy Serbia. He went all through the comprehensive education system for 4 years from deckhand to deck officer to chief officer and captain.

He sailed abt. 25.000 miles in all waters of the Mediterranean incl. Black Sea, Atlantic Ocean and the Far East. He has a lot of experience in handling multi-national crews, sail training, refit and maintenance of yachts. To complete his knowledge he visited in 2012 the USCG International Yorktown, USA.

Svetozar holds the following licenses and qualifications:

- MASTER OF YACHTS LIMITED 200 TONS SAIL
- STCW 95
- GMDSS ROC
- US Coast Guard Maritime Officers School – SAR operations and bridge resource
Management

Svetozar speaks English, Serbian and Croatian fluently and has basic knowledge of Italian and Russian.
He is known as a warm and professional captain; when onboard the guests feel safe and well informed. It is his aim to give his guests the best times.
Besides sailing, Svetozar loves football, diving, fishing, and cooking.
