Ben is a commercially endorsed MCA/RYA Yachtmaster with over 30,000 miles logged on vessels between 40 - 120ft. Ben is passionate about sailing and is committed to making sure you get the most out of sailing Solitaire. He is always on hand to provide guidance to those new to sailing, help tweak the skills of the more advanced sailor or to take the helm and let you soak up the sun and stunning scenery. Ben’s interests including snorkelling and diving (he is PADI qualified), kayaking, water-skiing and anything that see’s him on the water. In the winter months when not in warmer climates you can usually find him on a snowboard.

After completing her Business and Management degree, Alison decided to pursue a career in the travel and tourism industry. She developed a passion for sailing and shortly after joined Ben and settled into a life at sea. Alison has gained over 15,000 sea miles, as well as achieving her RYA Day skipper, Powerboat Level 2, STCW 95 and PADI Qualifications. Alison is also a very passionate chef, she enjoys cooking Mediterranean and Asian dishes, taking inspiration and influence from the various places she has visited across the globe. She enjoys cooking locally, in season and from sustainable sources. When not sailing, Alison enjoys horse riding, skiing, photography and walking.
