TWO IF BY SEA Private Yacht

Hi. My name is Matt. I hope I’ll have a chance to meet you soon, but first let me tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up boating, waterskiing and fishing on the Mississippi River in northwestern Illinois. My father was a US Naval officer and he taught me to love and respect the water at an early age. I also inherited my love of travel from him.

I first visited the Caribbean in 1989 and I knew from that moment that the islands were very special. In the following years, while working as a diesel engine designer, I found myself spending all of my money on travel. So, I switched gears and worked in travel and tourism for the next decade. During that time I realized that I enjoyed sharing the travel experience as much as the travel itself.

In 2005 I took a charter vacation on a yacht in the BVI, and that was all it took. I instantly knew that I wanted to share the beauty of the Caribbean with a many people as possible. One year later I moved to the islands to start a career as a charter yacht captain.

After 8 years in the Virgin Islands, my wife Melissa and I went north to Fort Lauderdale to work on large motor yachts allowing us to explore Turks & Caicos, the Bahamas, and the Eastern Seaboard. During that time, I found that the Virgin Islands were calling me home. I returned in January of 2016 and am very excited to host you aboard Two if by Sea in this upcoming charter season. After sailing and motoring the Caribbean on a number of different vessels, I am convinced that the Leopard 4500 is the best charter vessel and the Virgin Islands is greatest place for your charter vacation.

I currently hold a USCG 200-ton Master License, and am a PADI certified Divemaster. In my spare time I enjoy diving, wakeboarding, snorkeling and hiking the trails in the BVI. I also love playing bartender and tour-guide to those looking for a little adventure.
